Louise Little

Louise LittleLouise has been involved in youth work, community development and conflict transformation for over 12 years, being responsible for developing and co-ordinating some major capacity building and reconciliation programmes. This has involved working with organisations such as Co-operation Ireland, Springvale Community Outreach Initiative and the University of Ulster. In more recent years Louise has used sport with young people to reduce sectarianism in communities and schools. Louise has significant experience of working with people from many different backgrounds across Northern Ireland and Ireland, representing a wide range of organisations including: Community development organisations, Ex-prisoner and ex-combatant organisations, Women’s organisations, Victims/survivors organisations, Education organisations, Interface Residents groups, Youth organisations and Sports organisations.

Internationally, Louise has worked for periods in South Africa, Israel/Palestine and Serbia. This work has ranged from building confidence in the use of English, co-facilitating workshops to explore various aspects of conflict transformation and researching the role of women in communities living with, and beyond, conflict.

Louise completed her degree in Psychology and Legal Studies in 1999 and has worked within the Community and Voluntary sector since then. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and is currently completing her Masters in Business Development and Innovation at the University of Ulster.
